Never turn it down. If it bothers your conscience, donate it to conservative causes, or do with it what most farmers do and what you have always done: invest it back in your farm. I don't agree with gov handing out money either, but at least most farmers do something useful with it.
True, we won't be building a bridge to no where, or buying $500 hammers. I guess we should look at it as taking it from the liberal left.
