In my opinion, when a company no longer offers a bean variety, It should become public. A lot of those older beans work well in small areas that the seed companies think are too small to deal with. My favorite old bean, Pioneer 90m80 is not offered for next year, I am told. Yields right with the fancy beans on some of my ground. This variety has to be 15 years old. Was the oldest RR beans in the P line up in the under 1.0 maturity in our area.
