M
i have a loftness made in hector minnesota.its one of their largest models.i think 8ft with 2 augers. it has a 1000 rpm shaft.from what understand its a 1 to 1 gearbox not a reduction.started out with a 856 on it.found out real quick that wasnt going to be big enough. next put a 4255 on it and thats boarder line. my friend has one too running it with a 160hp tractor and had the same problem of takeing lots of power. dealer told my friend to only run it on 1000 if you have 180 hp or more. it works better for them now and dont have problems shearing pins. http://www.loftness.com/snow_tractor_h.cfm?cat=con
