Wife wanted a new car recently, so we went shopping. Found what she wanted, I made the deal with salesman, and we went into manager's office, who was a woman. Started paperwork, I answered the questions. but if was something that mattered, I turned to wife for her thoughts. Lady asked me if I wanted it titled so my name was purchaser, and without thinking I said yes. My wife never objected, even though she pays for her car.  Never objected until we got home, at least. " You know I pay for my car, it should be in my name." she reminded me ever so gently. Until then, I had not given it any thought, since we both signed papers.Never occurred to me what the sales-lady was asking. Now, as a gentle reminder to me, she always refers to it as being my car. Like " I had the oil changed in YOUR  car today." she will tell me. Women never forget one little mistake.(?)
