Had something like this happen a few years back. Guy passes leaving it to a nephew who saw $$ but they found out in the will the land owner had it completely spelled out that the person who had been renting (25+yrs) got to continue renting for another 25years at xxx per acre and if his sons daughters or next of kin was active in farming could rent it for xxx for the remainder of said 25 years. I heard things got real ugly for the nephew fighting the will claiming it to be made in unsound mind etc. I believe he lost his battle and now collects the rent check. I also heard (which I am really not sure of) that the rent as per will was decreased!!!!
