Finland, up there in north where noboby farms!
We have cheap modells whit out reduction gears, but they are just lot more hp and less snow. Big difference....

It think 250 rpm is right whit two feet rotor or so and if rotor gets bigger rpm goes down. You also want to have big outlets for snow.

That big rotor model works both ways, no "adjustmets" needed, so how ever you wanna do it. Whit that you can back up yard deep snow and would not take more that 50 hp. Pull type is common here, because we don't need to deal whit deep snow like mountain passes have.
