I think the same thing every year as I drive across Wisconsin on Hwy 21. At one time all those barns and yards had livestock and farm families busy with chores. The thought hits close to home as the silos and feed lots where I grew up are vacant now too.

I agree I find myself thinking "What that must've looked like back in it's glory days" There's a big barn in the area that is empty (whole farm is and falling apart) stories of how it was the biggest around in it's day and how the family was a bunch of non stop works make me wonder what it was like. Story has it even back when on cans they sent 30 cans of milk a day!!! I've been told the barn held 102 cows.
