...you're not mixing diesel fuel in a broadcast application...you use diesel fuel as a carrier in a basal bark treatment where you spray the bottom 10-18" of a plant when the sap is running down into the roots in the fall. It helps the herbicide penetrate through the bark into the cambium layer of the plant.
