I am writing an editorial and I would like your thoughts (no names will be used). I would just like to get a running list of answers on "why you do what you do?" Why do you farm? Ranch? Or, dairy? Tough question, right?
I am open to any answers – humorous, serious, or both.

I farm because the Good Lord allows me to. I feel very privileged to be one of the 1% that grow food for the world. We farm mostly rented ground and have the best landlords who allow us to farm. I would rather farm than anything else I can think of to make a living. |
