north east IN | We planted some corn in good conditions then it turned cold and wet and didn't get back into the field for a month and that corn came up very uneven. Corn grew good till ear set then ran out of water so half of the ears are big and hard cob and the other half are small with a small spongy half rotted cob with a zipper strip on the bottom and small kernels. All in the same row.
Corn looks like it could go down and it is 22% moister 85 bpa had the Deere man come out to help get set as close as we could. Came up with rotor 350, concave 9, fan 1120 with the head auger as low as it will go. Can't put enough corn in to keep it full. Still getting some loss but that was the best we could get | |
