Elizabethtown,KY | It's all I ever wanted to do, we have a picture of me when I was less than 2 in my diaper going to the barn, I'm at least a 4th generation farmer and probably more than that, sadly it ends with me as my son works in Louisville and shows no interest at all in the farm.
I enjoy the solitude of working by myself as I have ever since my dad became unable to work and then passed 8 years ago, we worked together for most of my life and had livestock and hired help, as I like to tell people now, I'm old and perksnickety and just grain farm! The only help I have now is a retired friend who runs my combine in corn while I haul and unload. He had polio when he was a child, so he does not need to be climbing in and out of trucks all day.
