Southeast WI | How do your pumpkins stand up to disease? I hate not using ipm on my vine crops as fungicides start by July 1 here and go on every 10 days roughly. By later August little spots like field edges that didn't get fungicide are blasted by powdery mildew, etc. Between that and insects it's got to be a major challenge to get a reliable crop.
Every few years we supply pumpkins for one of the local organic farms that has a fun day for their employees. This is one of those years. They had some kind of insect problem early and didnt get plants established. | |
