NW Iowa. / SW Arizona | We only grow pumpkins for ourselves and to give to our grandkids to take some home so only plant 2-4 hills a year. I have no desire to raise more then that but I'm curious what does your chapter sell them for a piece? Sounds like an excellent hands on money making project for the chapter.
We picked some this past Saturday when the twins were here and put some by the end of our driveway. This was our first year raising the white pumpkins, it seemed our orange ones were small this year but maybe that was just the hybrid. We only picked some and left the rest on the vines to grow more.
I'm also curious as to what hybrids you plant, my wife usually just picks up what looks good on the package at our local Menards store in the spring :-). I don't have a clue what we plant.
