Looks bad and makes you feel bad but won't hurt a thing........it just happens sometimes! As others have said, a decent frost and they'll be gone.

I'm seeing a lot of volunteer corn around northeast Missouri from fields that were harvested early. You can tell that some of it went thru the combine but there are lots of ears of corn sprouted on the ground also. I think some of the corn was down worse than expected due to the wind storm a few weeks ago.
