Subject: Dectes Stem Borer in Southern Indiana

St. Henry, Indiana
Local farmer had some issues in soybeans that were diagnosed as brown stem rot. Seed company agronomist looked at the beans and found a worm larva in 9 of 10 stems. The field was likely 70% affected. This field is 30 miles due north of Owensboro, KY. The field looks like it will take a major yield hit. I just wanted to let everyone in the area know of the problem. It seems to be relatively rare for my area.
