St. Henry, Indiana | Local farmer had some issues in soybeans that were diagnosed as brown stem rot. Seed company agronomist looked at the beans and found a worm larva in 9 of 10 stems. The field was likely 70% affected. This field is 30 miles due north of Owensboro, KY. The field looks like it will take a major yield hit. I just wanted to let everyone in the area know of the problem. It seems to be relatively rare for my area.
