If I understand that printout and check correctly, the seller of those black calves sold 9 calves averaging 574 lb for a net of $418.55 each?

That is really pitiful for the seller. Really over $100/head loss on each one if the accounting is done.

Sounds like we will soon resume the 60+ year trend to fewer and fewer beef cows and calves in the USA.

Fewer traditional fed USA calves will consume less USA corn....

Burger joints will probably be selling Big Macs etc made with beef imported from India etc. covered with enough sauce so you can't really taste the beef.  I am always surprised at how many folks I meet seem to never really have had GOOD beef.
