I looked at it Priced out several companies. Was looking at about 200k to cover one of out barns that was situated the best for the project. Didn't look like a good deal Only way it could pencil out was taking full advantage of the tax benefit. Then I think it still took 10 years or more. This was with me using 100 percent of the electricity. If you sell back the return is much lower.

There is also maintance on the system and the panels are depreciating as they age. The panels do not last forever. I think they are expected to last 25 years.

In my opinion it's a scam. Also if your selling back it's likely your sell back rate will go down with time as power companies fulfill there renewable energy goals.
