North of London | looking back can make land purchases not taken look bad but realistically the decision at the time was probably right because you do have to cash flow the decision.
I like almost everyone can look back at land porches decisions and say "I should have bought it" but were unable to do it at the time for very logical financial reasons
I look across the fence from one of our properties and wish i had bought it when i had the first changeover fifty years ago, Was dirt poor could never have swung the deal so passed.
Then had the chance again about 25 years ago when I was offered a good deal for the parcel before they listed it with real estate and sold it.
At that time we had kids heading off to university and none interested in farming and the logical thing to do was invest in their future through education.
Has been sold again since then but with a big pig barn on it so I will never buy it now. | |
