I've never felt self-righteous  enough to tell a landowner it was my way or stick it.  But at the same time I have had to convince a landowner that what he wanted to do was not the best idea. 

I am caught somewhere between on this subject.  It is the landowner's property to do with as he pleases.  But at the same time as the guy renting it you have to do what you think is best.  The real trick is getting the landowner to agree to what you think is in his best interest.

Gramps always said the hardest guy to rent from was an old farmer.
