Seems like right now it's about even in selling calves as feeders vs retaining ownership. We are bull heavy in our calf crop this year and usually retain ownership in our steers with a feedlot. They are predicting it's slightly favorable to retain ownership this winter so not sure which route we'll go yet. It's nice to get carcass data once they are finished but if you lose money doing that what is the point?
