Subject: RE: corn variety for tiger crap

NE Kansas
tiger crap is a term I heard my Dad use 20 years ago. Soil that was plowed up in the 70's when things were good. The soil had a lot of yellow clay streaks in it, hence "tiger". Most of it should not have been farmed, hence "crap". I think a lot of it went back into CRP only to be broke out again a few years ago. I'm looking for corn varieties that I can plant on my poorer farms. I've tried a lot of different numbers with varying success. Just wondering what others are planting.
