Mid-Michigan | bought a farm from and older gentleman many years ago and he sold it below values at the time. When we were drawing up the papers his lawyer said Tom your farm is worth more than this and Mr Young said I know what its worth but this young man is going to farm it not build houses on it. His lawyer said then do you want to put in he has to keep it as a working farm? Mr young said very bluntly " a dead man has no right telling a live man what to do". I will never forget that statement and I believe its true. Still farming the farm and will continue to do so thanks to Mr Young and I am 76. When I am done a young man will get a chance like I did. | |
