Boy, I like a lot of what I read from NDSU but I would disagree that weaning weights or calving rates have not improved. According to USDA, carcass weights are 15# less than last year and about 25# over the 5 year average. So about 24# less live weight than a year ago and 40# more live weight than the 5 year average.
