Ne. Panhandle | I can not understand all the doom and gloom about these cattle prices.
Todays price for a calf is not that low.
It kind of sounds like the $8 corn hangover
It was not too long ago that I got $600 for my calves and I came away thinking man I hope these prices hold, and then you know what happened next.
But now we only fell back to prices of a few years ago and everyone is going to go broke?
What were they doing back then??
If someone goes under or piles up debt at these prices they are putting frivolous costs into their operation or have poor management.
