Bremen, KS | Most likely you won't want to go any smaller. You probably won't go wrong sticking with a Samsung as I doubt that any other brand has a better display. That said, I recently bought a 43" Vizio for the main room and moved my 32" Samsung into this room. The picture quality is on par with the older Sammy. I do spend some time getting the picture to the way I like it. My judge of the picture is whether it can render flesh tones and purple correctly. Both of my TVs do that well.
