Here, that (15%) would be a dock of 1.5% of selling price per 1/2 point moisture over 13 up to 15. Above 15 is 2% of selling price per 1/2 point.

2 points moisture equals 6% dock. That's 53 cents/bushel with todays price of $8.76, and 15.1% would cost you 70 cents/bushel.

If you sold some new crop back when beans hit $11.00, that 15% would cost 66 cents.

Plus, any load over 14 stands on it's own, no moisture averaging.

The field loses are so much more at 11 though I have to account for that too. Maybe they aren't as bad where you are but "here" we have to count for that plus we never know when the rains will start. Once they do it can get rough harvesting.
