N.W. Ohio
+2 I would cut beans all day long at 13-14% range. Is less shatter at the head when they are just a little tougher. I constantly have to tell my one sharecrop landlord that we are far better off to cut 14% beans and take a couple cent discount than to run at 11-12% and lose 1 or 2% of the weight (9-18 cents/bu.) and have more harvest loss. And the sad fact of the matter is it seldom just stops dropping at 11-12%, often will continue lower.
