Only other option you have is to Go out in the field with the moisture probe and find the driest spot and then bring him out there and show him where it won't even go in the ground or less than a 1'. That might tend to sway him to your line of thinking.

Or you could go out there and plant about 5lbs an acre real shallow. Watch it winterkill and then go on with previous plans in the spring after a burn down to finish off the spraggling few wheat plants.


I would highly advise against either of these, if the owner gets wind that you are playing games, you will almost certainly lose the ground. The world also is not that big, other owners get wind of this, you stand to lose even more. In my book it always pays to be up front and honest.
