Floyd County, Iowa | Around here, a 5mph breeze is considered "quiet", but they turn with a 5 mph breeze. We don't have any very near our place, but I've been near them on a "quiet" night, and can easily hear the "whoosh.....whoosh.....whoosh". I was sitting in the drive near one in the daylight, and that thing made a clunking sound that echoed down the base when it was changing direction with the wind. Can't really believe they all do that, though. | |
