If the land continues to decline the negative rates of return will be huge. As you said values are already down 25%. That is an unrealized return unless you sell but still something to think about. As others have mentioned you don't have to pay property taxes on stocks. Until land goes down I don't see it as a good investment in my area.
....BUT....you also can't generate rental income with stocks... |
