Bremen, KS | I will argue against this photo being from the 19th century. Two prominent features on the other side of the square are telephone poles and a pole with transformers. The transformers indicate AC power distribution which argues the time to be at the very earliest the very last years of the 19th century. As there are telephone distribution poles, it also argues that the claimed 1870 date is much too early.
Farmers likely wouldn't have spent the money for a horseless carriage as most weren't early adopters back then. Perhaps this photo could be as late as 1910.
I think the key would be figuring out what year AC power distribution came to Cleburne.
