Land is the easy one. Land appreciating doesn't make you special, most lenders won't consider you a good investment because you waited it out.
The most successful in many circles have all failed once or twice. If you've not failed and picked yourself up, you haven't seen struggle nor have you proved anything. Some of my closest friends have failed in banking, concrete, trucking, land and farming. They eventually found the sweet spot and haven't seen a poor day since. Land ownership is great when it's going up, a crash in land prices will destroy decades of work and sweat. It's coming. | |
