I will add they don't pay out as promised after a few years as maint costs are grossly underestimated  and you will most likely be stuck with a tower and a 1000 yards of concrete at some point.

The only reason these are built is to capture the government subsidies. The power is poor quality and is exempt from most of the rules that govern most utilities.
