No problems with shooting them. They are plentiful here. See lots of dead ones on the road. I understand their vision is poor. Interestingly enough you can swerve and hit one on the road pretty easily. Running over one in a field or pasture is another proposition. I have never been able to run over one out in the open. I did hit one in a field road a few years ago and thought it was dead. When I came back the armadillo had dug an open hole and got in it and died. I still hit that hole from time to time and rattle my teeth. I really need to stop and fill it in one day but never do. I guess you can call that Armadillos revenge.
