Subject: RE: My oldest boy is skipping school tomorrow, during harvest...

Elizabethtown,KY
My dad started me on a round back 55 Deere with a 12' head and a sacking attachment when I was 12, in good wheat or oats it took 2 men to keep the sacks changed and tied. We got a square back 45 with no cab in '65 with a 210 corn head and 10' head, nowadays at age 67 (for 1 more month or so) I run an S660, except for 3 Massey's in the 70's we've always had Deere combines.

I remember dad coming to school and getting me out early when the 3010 and 4010's came out, there was a plowing demonstration and I got to plow with both of those, seems like yesterday, I was in 8th grade.
