I'd hate to see how many days of school I missed during middle and high school helping my dad on the farm during busy times. He never hired full time help, I was the help. I come from a small tight knit Ag community and all of our teachers and administrators knew where we were if we missed during busy times.

I turned out alright. Graduated in the top 20% of my high school and went on to get a degree from one of the top Ag schools in the nation. Although against the wishes of my mom, I came back to farm. Lol

You're not hurting him and sound like a good father.
