| Ah yes, Frontier. "When you need to get somewhere in the WORST way." lol
Way back about 40 years ago, the US Air Force was closing down a small Air Force base near Salina, ks. Shilling (maybe Schilling--I forget) AFB. 747 airliners were new on the market, and some of the major airlines were using the location as a training area, so numerous HUGE-or so it seemed airplanes would be seen flying around the area, and/or shooting landings. But Frontier was the only scheduled carrier flying passenger service perhaps twice/day.
Well, the rumor was that one day the Air Traffic Controller's radio crackled with a voice asking what time it was....?......... And without missing a beat, the controller replied, "Well, if you are TWA, it is 3:30 p.m. If you are military, it is 15:30 hours. If you are FRONTIER, the BIG hand is on the the 6, and the Little hand is just below the 3"..........lol showboat | |
