I've often wondered how many inches of water does it take to grow 200 bushel of $3 corn in Nebraska? And what does that make that water worth?


The aquifer has increased the last two years in Nebraska. Good recharge rates and pivot irrigation has helped. The aquifer is actually being drained by the cities of Dallas and Oklahoma city. It's easy to go after AG but the fact is urban expansion in hot dry areas is wasting the world's water. See all of southern California and las vegas
