NE KS | Last year my wife's uncle (and a very good friend) was driving a truck for me. He was headed to the field empty and had a heart attack. He crossed into the opposite lane of the hwy before riding up on the bank and then ended up about 1000 ft in my neighbors corn field The corn was tall enough you couldn't see the truck. The neighbors hired man found him when he was headed to the grain bin and saw the tracks. Had fire trucks and ems out there but they we cautious and didn't run much down, most everyone stayed at the edge of the field. I offered to pay him for damages (we go to church together) all the said was sorry for your loss. That was a hard day to say the least. He was dead before he hit the ditch and was doing what he loved. Strange thing is about a week before this he kicked his wife of 20 years out and bought a brand new yellow Camaro. I think he knew something the rest of us didn't. | |
