To be fair, it's probably a comparison of how a computer manages fuel consumption at variable loads to how a mechanical governor does the same thing. I doubt there is much of any deviation of ERPM's or generator speed.

And we may well be comparing fuel consumption of a newer-design engine to the consumption of an older Deere 466 or similar which always have been fuel hogs at partial load. It would be especially interesting what the comparison is being made TO.

Let's get some more info before we throw Oliver completely under the bus.
