In the big picture, I think that bagging and conventional storage complement each other, especially if you are in a place where Mother Nature dictates large swings in crop yield from season to season.  Bagging the big crops looks good compared to making bin payments and property taxes on a tin can that sits empty in a drought.  In regards to the work aspect, yes bags are work.  Now, if you are comparing 4 bags to a nice 50,000 bushel bin with power sweep, then the bags probably suck.  If you are comparing 4 bags to filling 10 crappy old bins that have ancient slow unloads or need to be vaced, then the bagging starts to have some real advantages in speed vs. work.
