In our area we have local plowing matches with a theme this year was soil management so cover crops fit quite nice in the theme. There was over 300 people out that day. As for weed control I think planting with drill helps a little too get it started fast to cover it in faster to stop the weeds . In my walk didn't see anything for weeds.
