SE Iowa | Corn on corn going 240bu/acre dry. Some diplodia issues, one variety, 1197 Pioneer, has soft cobs. DeKalb 61-79 is a bit drier, no cob issues, split planter on these two. Corn is standing well, no green whatsoever in plants, goosenecked by windstorm 10 days before tassel affected the 1197 more then the 61-79. Moisture 24%, no fungicide. The 1197 is yielding a bit more but is also a bit wetter.
Neighbor is running beans. Becks LL variety, early group 3, some SDS. Coming in at 74bu. | |
