Subject: RE: No tilling soys into corn stalks

Michigan - Saginaw County
I keep the corn head raised up while shelling corn up so I have a good 12"-14" stalk standing up. We no-till plant beans between the corn rows with a regular planter. The tires just bend/push the stalk over. I have not seen any tire damage.
For post emerge spraying we try to go down the row in the same direction as the Pre-spray run or planter run when we wind up on the same wheel tracks. By bean harvest time the stalks are all but gone and not an issue for the tires or the cutting head.
