Subject: Is the tire wear question really a valid concern?

Southeast WI
I get what it does to tires to some degree. I've yet to ruin any tires by notilling both corn and beans into corn stalks. They do wear faster but roads wear them out before stalks kill them.

So what does all the tillage equipment cost and the cost of running it every year compared to replacing tires slightly prematurely?

Here we've never seen an advantage to doing tillage for soybeans and I have a replicated notill vs tillage strip plot dating back to 1997. It's still going.
