Subject: Do cover crops help with slugs?

Would like to no-till our soybeans but we can have such problems with slugs? Have a fair amount of tiled ground that seems like we should be able to no-till but by the time I get done baiting (which isn't cheap and time consuming) and replanting some doing light tillage seems easier. Was wondering if cover crops specifically cereal rye would help give the slugs something to feed on for a week or two while they get going before killing it off?
