Manchester, OK | You were right! The inside of my combine was covered in 2 inches of gummed up BS after 400 acres. I am guessing we were throwing over a ton of grain bc the chaffer was 30% plugged and sieve 60%. Neither would move. I had to remove the chaffer/sieve and powerwash both. Then power washed the entire inside of the combine from shoe auger pan to pre chaffer to the sieve floor and augers. It was a nasty job and a total PIA. I will never do that again. This was early milo that was aphid free until the last week before harvest. The milo wasn't great and the mess it created was unbelievable. | |
