Could have saved money this year on fungicide also on the corn and had a lower cost of production but it is nice having that extra 25 bushel. I don't care if your beans are free, it's profit that matters.
dmswil in case you haven't noticed sed has a disaster every year. No reason to plant new genetics or take care of the crop because mother nature screws him in the end. SDS takes 100% of his fields and genetics don't tolerate it different they all yield the same. Same with drought, hybrid tolerance to dry weather makes no difference just plant 3 year old corn that's been in your shed. If he ever has a decent year wind probably blows his corn over thus planting newer genetics would have been a waste. Of course he knows all this without testing any new genetics. Moral of the story you are wasting your money on these extend beans because they will get SDS anyway. |
