If that is row on exterior of field road crews mowing ditch can cause that. Cut top off young corn plant and it will grow a cob instead of tassel.
We see it where the corn is damaged like driving over it when fertilizing or cultivating. Almost always on the end rows. Saw quite a bit this year as I had a lot of point rows and drove over it a few times. |
