| Never had one break on my trailer, but have had some neighbors break theres when I was around. Every time I have seen one break they will always break at the very back, just before it goes over the drive sprockets. Best solution is to get the bottom of your chain hooked on you drive sprockets. Then switch the hoses going to your hydraulic motor so you can reverse and pull the slack off the bottom of your chain. If you have have your take up used very much you can let that out and get enough chain to put your chain back together after taking out the broken links. OR you can put some new links in there to. Manure is the worst for breaking chains that I have seen, beet pulp can be bad to.
Gary, what displacement is your pump on your truck? What is your PTO speed? I would like to have something a little faster on my rig.
